In 2016, we embarked on a mission to develop summer shoes that could combat foot odor. During our research, we discovered that wool is one of the few materials where odor-causing bacteria do not thrive. This revelation sparked a long journey of exploration into wool, particularly Norwegian wool. As we delved deeper into its unique properties, we fell in love with this underappreciated wonder fabric and decided to find every possible way to incorporate it into our products, supporting its use and preservation.

Through extensive research and testing, we confirmed that using 100% Norwegian wool significantly reduces foot odor. But that’s not all; we also uncovered other incredible benefits of this material. Wool is easy to dye, robust, and abrasion-resistant, making it an excellent choice for footwear. It boasts natural water-repelling properties and effectively regulates temperature, providing both cooling and warming effects as needed.

Norwegian sheep have developed a particular blend of coarse beard hair and fine underhair over centuries, naturally evolving to withstand Nordic climates. This unique combination repels water and regulates temperature, making it ideal for all weather conditions. Essentially, nature achieved thousands of years ago what the sports industry has recently attempted with plastic—using protein to create a material that offers superior performance.
