Our goal at Kastel has always been finding ways to make shoes that combine weatherproof abilities that look good and provide comfort, but one thing we don't talk about enough is convenience.

We know all too well the feeling of getting ready to leave the comfort of your warm and dry home to face the elements. Bending over to tie your shoes is really not a big task, but when combined with layers of clothing and maybe an impatient child or friend waiting and a long list of things you need to remember to bring we can understand that being able to slip your shoes on would just be that small bit of relief we feel you deserve. And when you come home after a tough day, being able to kick off your shoes is a joy we feel we all need every once in a while.

Lyngen is our latest Slip-Fit style where we really pushed the limits! We have long wanted ankle high boot but were hesitant to release a boot that would require so much work to put on and take off. Having seen many childrens shoes with elastic shoe laces we thought that is a convenience that should not be reserved for only children, so we put them on our boots and the result was better than expected. So now you can adjust your Lyngen boots once and find the perfect fit and never have to tie them again! Just read that again... Never have to tie them again. We are definitely going to make more shoes using this technology!
