Greetings from France 👋

Kastel shoes are made for the Norwegian climate, but they’re amazing in other climates too! I’m Emilie, a content creator at Kastel, and I’m enjoying my summer vacation in France. I’m so glad I packed two pairs of Kastel shoes. Let me tell you why!

When I go on summer vacation to a warm country, I try to pack light. This time, I thought about which shoes I’d need. Besides my dress shoes, I packed my trusty Stavern and Voss.

I’ve been wearing these shoes every day. Our house is on a steep hill, and when we’re not heading to the beach, we’re strolling around, visiting markets, museums, or sightseeing in old towns. Voss is perfect for all these activities. They’re sporty, airy, light, and stylish. I can easily slip them on for less glamorous tasks, like taking out the trash. That’s why they’ve become my go-to shoes this vacation.

The local beach is idyllic and almost untouched early in the morning before the locals are up, with rocky formations and uneven terrain. No white sandy beach here! That’s where Stavern comes in handy, perfect for before, during, and after swimming. If they get sandy, they’re easy to rinse off in the garden, and they look as good as new. Love them!

In short, Voss and Stavern are the perfect shoes, no matter where you are this summer. If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly recommend getting a pair. I’m sure they’ll become a favorite in your shoe collection.
